Finding the Right Coach: How to Lose the Middleman

“We GUARANTEE you’ll get recruited”.

“Your one stop shop for all Division 1 coaches”.

All of these promises are great, they really are, and if you’ve worked with a coach or a service to help you with recruiting, that’s awesome!

When you use these services, the providers are going to train you based off of their experiences in the recruitment world. That’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to get recruited. Experience and guidance are the 2 most important pieces behind having a stellar athlete, of course! One thing they won’t tell you is that these services may “guarantee” you’ll get recruited, but there is no guarantee. Your recruitment process is unique to you. We’ve said it before, but there’s no formula to get recruited! Every player has their own path, but we’re here to tell you one thing.

Stop paying services thousands of dollars for vague promises and a guide who’s been removed from the process. If you really want the best guide for recruitment, you want someone who’s got a fresh outlook and who will help you in every facet of your game. The Guideyou should rely on for help is a college aged player, and here’s why.

They have up to date recruiting knowledge.

If you were looking for a new car, would you rather talk to the ex-CEO of Honda about what the safety standards were in 2005 or a current daily driver of a new model? We’re guessing you’re going with option number 2. Don’t leave your game or recruitment goals up to someone who’s been advertising their services for years. Work with someone who was right where you are within the past few years. These players understand the struggles of not having a clue how to talk to coaches or how to tighten up a spiral, don’t be like the competition and let that knowledge go to waste.

They do this every day.

Day in and day out, college players are working on their trade. This isn’t just a job to them, this is their life. The coaches they have are professionals and the very best at what they do. The drills, film study, and practice these players get every day are done with high repetition, and they can translate everything they’re working on to fit your exact needs. They don’t need to watch Youtube or consult with the latest Coaches Weekly to get ideas of how to help your game, they can do it in their sleep.

They don’t have anything to gain.

Okay, that’s a stretch. They’re out here helping players for a reason. They want to grow their following and gain a fan, but they’re not going to charge you an arm and a leg to “help you get to college”.  These players are just looking to help shape the next generation of athletes, and they want to get in some extra workouts too! They don’t have a business built around this, their business is winning games at the college level and they want to make that your business too.

They can relate.

We talked about how these guys just went through the process. That goes beyond knowing all of the best ways to get recruited and get better at your game. These players have the same profile as you. Your environment has a lot to do with how you develop as a player. No matter where you come from or what your situation is, our massive network of trainers has done it all before. They don’t have millions of dollars or (on OR off the field) professional careers distancing themselves from you. These players are newly hewn diamonds waiting to shape and cut up the newest generation of NCAA athletes.
